11/8/2011 - City-Fire Election

Our next election is November 8, 2011. Races for Mayoral and City council seats, a City Bond issue, as well as a Fire District Commissioner and Bond issue will be on the ballot. All voters must go to their designated polling place if they want to vote on Election Day. Polls will be open from 8AM to 8PM. To find your polling place location, use the Polling Place look-up feature by clicking here. Absentee voting in-person will be available at the Elections Office Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM between October 17, 2011 and November 4, 2011 as well as Saturday October 22, 2011 and Saturday October 29, 2011 from 10AM to 2PM. We will begin mailing out absentee ballots on October 7, 2011; the last day to request a mail-in ballot is November 2, 2011. To obtain an absentee ballot request form please click here. The request can be dropped off, mailed or faxed to the Elections Office. Due to uncontested races in most of the Fire Districts, the following Precincts will not be open for the election on November 8th: 2,4,5,6,13,62,63,64,65,&,67. Furthermore, we have combined some Precincts for this election. Voters in Precinct 12 will go to the polling place for Precinct 10, voters in Precinct 61 will go to the polling place for Precinct 60, and Precinct 68 voters will go to the polling place for Precinct 70 (this is due to the extremely low numbers of registered voters in these Precincts who are eligible for the election). Please click here to go to the Elections Home Page for additional information.

Please note that Political Party Affiliation is not required for the November 8th Election, however, it is required for the Primary Election in May 2012
